About

The NZ Compare Awards are back for their 9th year!

Continuing our mission to help Kiwis make fully informed choices when it comes to broadband, power, and mobile services.

There won’t be an in-person event for the NZ Compare Awards in 2025, but the awards are very much going ahead! This year, we’re focused once again on celebrating the very best across the Broadband, Power, and Mobile sectors in new and meaningful ways.

It’s more important than ever to recognise the companies and services that go above and beyond for Kiwis. The NZ Compare Awards help shoppers make confident choices, while also shining a light on the providers that truly deliver outstanding value, products and services.

For the industry, the awards remain a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate achievements in what is an increasingly fast-moving and competitive landscape. For winners, it’s a chance to showcase excellence, strengthen trust with customers, and stand out in the market.

We’re excited to see entries from across the spectrum in 2025 – and as always, we hope our judges are faced with the challenge of choosing from some truly outstanding entries!

Is there a fee for entering the NZ Compare Awards?

There is a fee of $149 + GST per award entry.

Why is there an entry fee?

The fee we charge covers the costs of administration and contributes towards the cost of running the event. We have kept this fee as low as possible, to make our awards accessible and affordable to all. Keep in mind that the reward of being shortlisted or winning your chosen category could be priceless! Get started on your entry and be recognised for your achievements for your contribution to the New Zealand Broadband, Energy and Mobile sectors.

You can pay for your entry (ies) online here.

What if my company is small?

Like the common phrase... size doesn't matter!

Our awards are your company's time to let your achievements be recognised, acknowledged and maybe grab that win.

My company is not partnered with NZ Compare and brands Power Compare or Broadband Compare. How do I know the NZ Compare Awards will be impartial?

The aim of the NZ Compare brands and comparison platforms is to empower Kiwis to compare what’s out there and make a fully informed choice when switching.  Any and all Internet, Energy or Mobile Providers can enter the NZ Compare Awards as long as they meet the specific entry criteria for each category. Our judging panel consists of impartial and trusted experts, and judging is conducted in a confidential environment. Your entry will not be judged based on whether you partner with NZ Compare and many previous winners are not in a commercial relationship with the organiser.

How can I pay for my entry (ies)?

You can request an invoice and pay via bank transfer or pay online with a credit or debit card here

When will 2025 winners be announced?

The big day is 4th December 2025 - more details to follow.

Judging

The judges for the 2025 NZ Compare Awards will be chosen for their expertise in energy, broadband, mobile, technology, and media.

Alongside the senior NZ Compare team, we will assemble a panel of respected experts, including some of New Zealand’s top journalists, technology commentators, consumer advocates, and industry professionals. This exemplary panel is completely independent of any internet, power, or mobile retailer. Their specialist insights, combined with the voices of the Kiwi public, will determine the scores that decide the NZ Compare Award winners.

All 2025 NZ Compare Award entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of industry experts. Each submission will be assessed on its merits against the official criteria, with finalists and winners chosen based on the judges’ scores. To give your entry the best chance, provide complete, detailed information that directly addresses the category criteria and stays within the word limit.

Our judges are bound by non-disclosure agreements and will not take part in categories where a commercial conflict exists. The judging process, held two weeks after entries close, combines individual scoring with group discussions moderated by our event team to ensure fairness and transparency.

Ready to showcase your success?

This is your chance to shine! Enter the 2025 NZ Compare Awards and put your achievements in front of an independent panel of respected industry experts. Whether you’re an innovative newcomer or a market leader, a well-crafted entry could see you named among New Zealand’s best.

Don’t hold back—share your story, your results, and what makes you stand out. Every detail counts, and complete submissions have the strongest chance of taking home a trophy. Entries close soon, so get started today and make your mark!
